I discovered the secret to Meow Mix's singing cats. They are not just happy to eat, and I think this is why:


This cat piano was invented by a German scholar over 350 years ago. He carefuly selected cats based on the tone of their screetch, then positioned them in the appropriate cage. When playing a particular key, the cat's tail would be poked with a pin, thus letting out the cat's meow.

The original idea was to lighten the stress of an Italian prince. Quite funny indeed, sick, but funny yes. [gizmodo]
