Ubuntu upgrade, VMWARE console not working as you would like? here is a quick fix:

  1. sudo cp /lib/libgcc_s.so.1 /usr/lib/vmware/lib/libgcc_s.so.1/
  2. sudo cp /usr/lib/libpng12.so.0 /usr/lib/vmware/lib/libpng12.so.0/
  3. sudo chmod 777 /home/"your home directory"/.vmware/preferences
