About Spew
My education is in Computer Network Technologies. I use my free thought, when any thoughts are present, to write and produce content in a wide spectrum format flow. One day I may explain a method for accomplishing a task on a BSD operating system, or spewing about my latest Sandalwood acquisition, and other times I will keep my thoughts I put to the screen more personal and opinionated with my current gush of text in relation to my tempered mood.

While browsing the Android market for a media player, I was given a Googleized suggestion for an application called Unified. The summary for the application described itself as: Unified Remote - Easily, the most feature-filled Android-PC remote. Since I was currently living in the late 90's using a first generation Remote Wonder, I made an easy decision to give this Android Windows remote control a spin to see what it is made of and crossing my fingers for an alternative to my outdated type casted ways of controlling my desktop remotely.
I started with the [Android installation of the standard Unified Remote] which is only limited by the number of available "remotes", or rather interfaces to various Windows 3rd party applications. The Unified Windows remote depends on a server application installed on your desktop or other remote Windows device. The server depends on .NET 4 and is ready to go out of the box after installation.
Starting the Android Unified application, I was immediately impressed with the automatic configuration option, though a self-configure option is also available. The Unified Android Remote application and the Windows application hook allowed remote desktop navigation out of the box. By default, the Windows remote uses TCP and UDP port 9512, or a Bluetooth connection if you have a Wacom Bluetooth stack. Password authentication and AES encryption is optional for the connection to your keyboard & mouse, and various other remote controls.
I would like to call this Android remote a KVM, although I would have to remove the V and would be stuck with just KM, which looks like a female's initials, so I decided to describe the experience instead of the technology with one word, Unified - as I was immediately hooked to the application and soon after purchased the [full version of this Android based Windows remote control].
Adj. 1. unified - formed or united into a whole - [source]
The full version of Unified provides a host of additional remotes for applications such as your preferred web browser, media players, and various other desktop applications along with the application's standard keyboard and mouse controls.
