We have solved the problem with camping on public land, instead of a campground where of course you have the ability to plug in a blender and whip up a couple frozen margaritas.
This four gallon frozen margarita machine runs on a two stroke gas engine, now making it possible to party without the patrol of rangers.
I will not be the one carrying it on my back though. As much as I like margaritas, a Miller Light will do for me. I bet I could get someone in the party to drag it though. 9 mile hike, ha ha.. that would be a blast watching...

"..Although information will be presented with the scientific rigor that is required for accuracy and clarity, the site is intended also to have a strong artistic and aesthetic presence, We expect to use music and dynamic images both for background and for display of information, and we will provide links to a variety of articles and scholarly resources. We believe important aspects of the project may be represented in stories, poetry and philosophy, including selected readings from Henri Bergson, Teilhard de Chardin, Carl Jung, and others who have thought deeply about consciousness. For example, one of the guiding models for this project is Teilhard's idea of a Noosphere, or layer of intelligence enveloping the earth, and his description of mankind's evolution toward a destiny to fulfill that role. While this metaphor is more spiritual than scientific, it provides a very interesting interpretive background (one of several that we may consider) for our specific scientific questions. A few examples of aesthetic expressions of the project's philosophy and mission are given in our poetic history. Even the scientific data sometimes create immediately meaningful pictures, as in the beautifully symmetrical traces that appear to note the death of Barry Fenn, our friend and REG host in New Zealand..." -- ..originally composed in early 1998 but it is still a good description of what the project is about...

"War cannot be avoided until the physical cause for its recurrence is removed and this, in the last analysis, is the vast extent of the planet on which we live. Only through annihilation of distance in every respect, as the conveyance of intelligence, transport of passengers and supplies and transmission of energy will conditions be brought about some day, insuring permanency of friendly relations. What we now want is closer contact and better understanding between individuals and communities all over the earth, and the elimination of egoism and pride which is always prone to plunge the world into primeval barbarism and strife... Peace can only come as a natural consequence of universal enlightenment..."

The latest Ubuntu desktop distributions comes with Firefox Beta 3 set as the default browser. I was out bound suprised at the performance of the to be released browser, which now is a release candidate.
I have to admit, after a couple weeks of use I started missing my plugins and I switched back to Firefox 2. That didn't last more than 4 hours noticing the difference in performance, and I once again re-installed Beta 3, found alternative plugins for my needs, and lighter weight I must add also. I was rather disappointed that Google hasn't gotten on the bandwagon with Google Browser Sync.
Hecker's Blizzog reminded me of this meant to be published, but put off post:
"..i must say, it’s pretty sweet. there are some nifty new features and the performance is indeed wayyyy better. particularly on those javascript & ajax-heavy pages like gmail (and most other google apps). switching through tabs is faster as well. not to mention, there’s now a “native hack” (if you will) to launch mailto links with gmail…cool!..." - http://www.aaron.2netwits.com/wp/?p=514
I have been a Mozilla user since the beginning, the beginning in which it took 6 to 8 minutes to startup on my computer - next generation browser at the time? heh. Others with the rendering engine took the fit though.
Remember Firefox 1.0? When it was first introduced they accepted donations from dedicated users to put a full page add in the New York Times, with color. I was one of the dedicated users, and you can find my name in the Times as "Andy J. Wright". Here is a link to the PDF file, but take note that you must have a pretty decent computer and PDF reader to render it without frustration: nytimes-firefox-final.pdf
I look forward to new and great add-ons and plugins to match the new standard of possibilities Firefox 3 will provide!

I found an upcoming artist on last.fm, Cathi Bruns. She messaged me
one early morning on my profile page saying if I like girls on guitars,
to check out a couple songs.
Cathi most reminds me of Joni Mitchell, and the last song in Cathi's album blends in perfectly with the calming peace and harmony of Joni's "Blue".
I only had to listen to a couple songs and made a purchase in a matter of 10 minutes after getting her shout on last.fm. Believe it that it usually takes more than a couple of tracks to purchase an album.
"A self-declared misanthropic songwriter, Cathi Bruns charmingly puts heartfelt feelings to paper. And the debut of her first album, Inner Radio (Demo), proves that she has a lot more up her sleeve: melodies to make you melt, winsome beats and a real way with guitar.
Inspired by folk pros like Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell and Tracy Chapman,
this catchy crooner decided just two years ago to learn guitar to give
her many written songs some company. With the support of her guitar
teacher and friends, Bruns found the strength to share her cheeky inner
radio with the rest of us."
Her page with the URL above has 4 full length tracks from her new album Inner Radio: Unlike Me, Honest Radio, Inner Radio, Over.
If you find that you like her acoustic guitar, Joan Baez, Joni Michell, Tracy Chapman inspired compositions, you may purchase them and the rest of her non-free tracks from on the album at: http://amiestreet.com/artist/cathibruns
"On Tuesday, May 27th, you can get all of my music for half price on AmieStreet. com It's a store wide 50% off sale for one day only, just click on the link below and grab Inner Radio ON TUESDAY, MAY 27th." - "If Cathi achieves best selling album this day, she will get a front page feature an AMIE!!" - Freddychuk
