If I am on-line and you want to chat in real time, or if I am off-line and you want to leave a message with my local IM program, allow pop-ups, then :::
You know what the saddest thing about the last post is? I just had to renew two services so they wouldn't expire, and the time and work to use another provider is less cost effective than staying with the options I currently use, not to mention the overwhelming amount of time it would take to migrate.

You know those "do we have permission" to enter your system messages you get when you have a hosting support question? Let me tell you that it is a meaningless question with GoDaddy.
To start off, I want you to take reference to all the past posts at the bottom of this text in regards to the above question.
Once again, they accessed my filesystem, re-enabled yum. They didn't do an update, or any updates to system software, but once again, again, again, I tried installing a package with yum. Once again, the repositories which I implicitly disabled were updated, and get this, their piece of crap control panel is automatically installed with any use of yum and installing packages from the updated repositories. A BIG CTRL-C & Fuck You GoDaddy.

I am not much of a cyber Monday type of guy; actually a Friday (today) cyber freak this year. I did some christmas shopping, some unique gifts I must say. Of course, I made a visit to Nature's Gift also.
There too I found a couple gifts that I decided to grab, and while at it a few oils I was in need of.
And then... Damn it all, two empty bottles of essential oil that I put underneath my monitor for a purchase reminder (a month ago) I forgot to order: bergamot, and sage dalmation.
Any other time I would have ordered those two specific oils from AromaThyme, but I didn't want to make seperate purchases. I have a feeling I am going to be charged anyway for the order change. Oh well, you live you learn.
I have just one more gift I need to get, so I will be riding up to the mall and retail area this afternoon.
A year ago I was writing:
Let there be a warm mug!
[Day to Day] [Bullshit]Black Friday is almost upon us. Thank the monkeys I am no longer in sales.
The thought of the day irks me in a way I can not describe. Once in a while I will wake up in panic from a black Friday nightmare.
Anyone whom has been in retail sales knows what I am talking about. This day is the evil of all that is evil.
For those whom are shoppers, count your blessings. For you have probably had thought of murder on yourself.
So on this day, notice blunt hard objects around your location, and be extra nice to the cheerful sales rep helping you purchase that ever so important item...
The Civic Center where I live holds a Thanksgiving dinner for the community. All are welcomed, the rich, the poor, and their families. I headed down there and ate some delicious turkey and all the trimmings. I was overwhelmed when I realized that I would be waded on, instead of a line order. It is a wonderful community get together, and one more reason the area in which I live is one of the most caring and beautiful cities in this country.
[Day to Day]
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I have a suggestion for those looking for an alternative to the traditional Thanksgiving turkey. How about stuffed squirrel?
Looks mighty tasty to me!

This is a version of a cron executed bash script I wrote to check and report the status of selected processes, and then send an e-mail of the results:
#!/bin/sh
cmdtest='smtpd gdm cupsd any-process-name'
echo "checking status of critical services... $cmdtest"
echo " "
for name in $cmdtest ; do
statq=$(/bin/ps -C $name |/bin/grep -n 0)
if [ -z "$statq" ]
then
echo "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
echo "$name not running!"
echo "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
else
echo "$(/bin/ps -C $name)"
fi ; done
echo " "
exit 0
