Roller-coaster Squirrel

It's a bird - no, it's a plane - no, it's a roller-coaster riding food stealing squirrel!

This Fur seems to get a kick out of a new roller-coaster at Alton Towers called Sonic Spinball.  He has been seen sneaking rides in the construction phase of the roller-coaster and during first time rider trials.

Being an evil Fur, it of course made it almost impossible to complete construction of this roller-coaster because of paw prints in wet paint, and hungry construction workers.

As of now, this Fur, called Sonic, is banned from riding.  He is kept away using non audible Fur deterrents.  A Fur is a Fur, so he will be sure to seak revenge possibly causing the coaster to stop while riders hang upside down.

Homosexuality Bill Kills in Uganda

A massive attempt of persuasion by large evangelical Christian groups in Uganda are moving the country to the current majority opinion that homosexuality is a crime and should be punishable by death, as reported by ABC News (World News).

Although the editorial is somewhat biased to evangelical Christian beliefs, they do not attempt to contradict their beliefs, so therefore I believe this film may be a good starting point to understanding group war tactics and their intents. [IMDB]

Jesus Camp:

The movie is filmed during a right-wing bible camp with scenes from a few Mike Papantonio talk shows pursuing the needed discussion of where this type of religious abuse to these children, and the belief of all those involved, will lead all of us as Americans to be divided by the "I am right no matter what - Jesus is the lord. period." type of mentality now and in the future. Jesus Camp follows several young children as they prepare to attend a summer camp where the kids will get their daily dose of evangelical Christianity. Becky Fischer works at the camp, which is named Kids on Fire. Through interviews with Fischer, the children, and others, Jesus Camp illustrates the unswerving belief of the faithful. A housewife and homeschooling mother tells her son that creationism has all the answers. Footage from inside the camp shows young children weeping and wailing as they promise to stop their sinning. Child after child is driven to tears. Modified Netflix DVD

The Netflix customer base is very large.  In every group that can be called a social circle their is usually those whom chose to not conform with rules and morality that would usually make their reality safe and sufficient to those dedicated.

I received a modified Netflix DVD.  It had never occurred to me that this could happen, although now I realize this could not only unfold dissatisfaction to the consumer and happen frequently, but also that it could well be very common though very disturbing.

The DVD was watched on a digital HD protocol connection, a 120Hz 1080(*) LCD display from a computer source modified (deinterlacing).

This could have been clever and funny, however it was not.  The frames were randomly placed.  The DVD movie is 23.9 FPS and the random positions were 1.9/23.9 (0.12%) FPS singular and random events seperated by real time, or rather randomly through the length of the movie.

Crazy shit man.

Random Thought : I will meditate and hope for the people who view this to have an existing strong mind. I don't want to get involved.

Rsync for Windows

My internet connectivity is limited at the moment.  I looked into making an incremental backup of my web data on my Windows Netbook when I visit an area with high speed Internet.

I normally have a Bash script using rsync on hamper, my home server which pulls increments daily.  When looking for Rsync for Windows, I found a Cygwin executable that does not require a Cygwin installation.  All that is needed are two libraries, in which you should put these dll's in your Windows system folder - and the executable to be placed where appropriate.

Lifetype 1.2.10 Patch for root Blog URL Paging Bug

Lifetype 1.2.10 security release was made public just a couple hours ago.  Paging on the URL root is broken in the packages provided on Lifetype's website.

I notified the developer and he very quickly had a patch available.  This patch is only relevant if you installed the update, or full installation within a few hours of initial public release.

To patch Lifetype, change the directory to your Blog document root and issue the command "patch -p0 < ./lifetype-1.2.10-paging-patch".
