as I tip toe through the capital state trail

19 May, 2006 10:00

There is a bike trail conveniently located just a couple blocks from my apartment. Once in a while I try to get my lazy ass to burn a few calories and head south.

On these occasions, my trusty mp3 player holds a small collection of my favorite podcasts. I usually end the journey before I am finished listening to one, but it is nice to have them available, just in case.

The first I will mention, and my favorite, is LUG Radio. These guys are a bit tipsy at times, and I am certain they are drinking a pint - although they never mention it. It is a podcast about Linux, open source, and open technologies. Even if you use Windows, it is a hilarious program to check out.

This week in tech (TWIT) is a podcast about all things tech. It is a weekly program discussing technology, and the politics relating to the introduction of new things geek. It's a fun show, check it out.

The Engadget podcast is a little more laid back than the first two. It is another show of new things geek with unique perspectives on current and new technology.

My trusty, reliable, 256 MB Sandisk MP3 Player, with an FM Tuner, holds just the right amount of these episodes to last me a good week. There are a couple other podcasts I will stick in the play list, but I always have an archive of those mentioned above.
