About Spew
My education is in Computer Network Technologies. I use my free thought, when any thoughts are present, to write and produce content in a wide spectrum format flow. One day I may explain a method for accomplishing a task on a BSD operating system, or spewing about my latest Sandalwood acquisition, and other times I will keep my thoughts I put to the screen more personal and opinionated with my current gush of text in relation to my tempered mood.

I completed my simi-monthly purchase of essential oils. I sent in an order for some Bergamot, Sage, and Frankincense. I chose Aroma Thyme because of there unbeatable Bergamot EO.
In my excitement I decided to brew some Earl Gray Tea. After looking at the ingredients I noticed that the Bergamot was synthetic, very disappointing. I was thinking about putting a drop of my essential oil in it, but what would the point be. I would rather just buy black tea for that.
I am now completely moved into my apartment in La Crosse. It took almost a month to get my belongings, for various reasons. However, now that I have everything positioned nicely here, there appears to be much more space than I was expecting.
The apartment was completely remodeled before I moved in, in other words the place was spotless. I am right next to the downtown area, and the co-op. I can now resume my daily co-op coffee potato salad runs. Oh how I have missed you.
It is time to get in touch with some of my La Crosse friends. Sorry it has taken so long, but the last month has been really hectic.
I am taking Abn. Psych this semester on top of my move, and I have been falling a bit behind. I am going to take this afternoon and tomorrow to catch up. I did start a week late, so granted it was to be expected to take a little longer to get with the program.
Random Thought : I was getting a bit spoiled in Madison. Now that I am back, I once again have to put up with the weekly Internet outages. It is almost predictable.
Day to Day  Software  Aromatherapy  Article & CommentsAura Cacia, an essential oil distributer, is looking into the farming practices of Australian Sandalwood, and distillation methods for other oils in that region. The series has already begun, running from May 14th to May 23.
Random Thought : I rarely have any use for patchouli EO. However, I dug up a batch that has been sitting for a few years - mixed it with some Clementine Petitgrain, and questioned why I never crack that bottle open. It was absolutely incredible.

I ordered an ultrasonic essential oil diffuser a couple of weeks ago. It has been running almost non stop since. By far, this is the most efficient diffuser I have owned.
Quite a while I go I had a nebulizer with a stem like nozzle. It worked great for thin oils, but if you tried to put something such as Vetiver in the thing, it is a waist of time and money. It will clog the nozzle and you will have to replace the glass.
Then there is my electric diffuser. Nice for a small room, but again, resin and other thick oils have a hard time diffusing on any type of cloth pad I used.
I also have a light bulb ring which I have been pretty happy with. However, this creates a lot of heat, allowing the oil's properties to change state.
Back to the ultrasonic nebulizer.. It has a five setting timer and a dial to adjust the output of the water and essential oil filled tub. The tub is lined with six, almost blue light type LEDs. It only takes a few drops of essential oil and lasts, sometimes a day and a half, depending on the output setting. It was a good buy indeed.

Wormwood essential oil is hard to come by. Most often you have to import the oil from another country and hope the FDA doesn't take it has a digestible substance. The reason for this, or the feature is absinthe.
This word meaning 'undrinkable' in Greek is an elixir containing the chemical thujone. Thujone is known as a psychoactive drug causing hallucinations and addiction. Current research concludes that thujone is a GABA antagonist. Although it was banned in the united states by the FDA, (I am uncertain about DEA regulations) with no evidence to conclude such, thujone can be found in many other readily available essential oils.
Sage essential oil can contain as much as 50% thujone, however the FDA considers this a safe additive to food products and cosmetics. Anis and Florence fennel also contain thujone and readily available to US consumers.
Sage essential oil is used as a food additive in Vermouth for flavoring. Sage, as used by an aromatherapist can help treat stress related symptoms and act as a cerebral sedative. Sage should be used with care however, because of the large amount of thujone it contains. Thujone in large quantities is toxic, (causing renal failure and death) and any oil that contains thujone should be used with care.
Sage in conjunction with niacin, ginko biloba, or other herbs that improve circulation through vasodilation is known to help treat symptoms of Schizophrenia and other mental disorders. Sage, and other camphor chemotypes can also have strong adverse reactions with those prown to epileptic seizures.

My oils arrived from Natures Gift. The first bottle I opened was of course the Vetiver Bourbon. This distillation doesn't seem sedative like thicker Vetivers. It has a very clean, yet distinctive aroma.
I put the Eucaluptus Sweet right in the diffuser. I could imagine using this oil for concentration and alertness, not to mention the flu and cold. It felt like all the cells in my body opened up. Very nice!
I ordered 5ml of Helichrysum, but they were out of stock, so they sent me 15ml instead! Thank You! I can't even start to tell you how important it is to have a bottle of Helichrysum in your home. It is truley a universal healer.
Random Thought : I sent an e-mail to Godaddy and I assume they are looking into the performance issues I am having with this domain. The hit started after I purchased a static IP.
